Dear NPS Families and Community Members:
Welcome to The Public Schools of Norton, MA website.
Meeting the needs of ALL children has always been our number one priority. This begins with our safe schools initiative consisting of a new Crisis Plan, upgrades to facilities and attention to how we continue to be progressive in our approach by using the latest information and training. We have also initiated a comprehensive planning process to develop our structures and systems during the course of the next three years. Our new Strategic Plan helps to organize and focus the District Improvement Plan, the School Improvement Plans, the Technology Plan and the Data Plan. Each of these works as a building block for improving student achievement district wide.
The new Strategic Plan has four (4) major strategies and 16 objectives that we have prioritized for the next three (3) years. The strategies are:
- Strategy 1: High quality instruction that addresses individual student needs and focuses on closinng achievement gaps while preparing all students for success after graduation.
- Strategy 2: Provide students with life experiences to extend learning outside of the classroom, including increased exposure to STEAM education and World Languages.
- Strategy 3: Provide meaningful, high quality professional development that is aligned to District goals to all teachers and support staff.
- Strategy 4: Align District resources with educational needs in order to accomplish the goals put forth in the strategic plan.
All of this requires family and community support. From attendance at presentations and meetings to volunteering at events, the responsibility for moving us forward requires parental and community involvement.
As always, please utilize our website, Facebook, Twitter and Let’s Talk to communicate your thoughts or email me directly at email@example.com.
