The dedicated and caring staff at JCS will provide a rigorous, enriching and age-appropriate educational experience for your child. Our Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science curricula are closely aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the developmental needs of our students. In addition to the core subjects, the students will also attend Art, Wellness, Music, and Computer classes. Please do not hesitate to call your child’s teacher, if you have any questions regarding the educational program.
We have a very active SPO (Solmonese Parent Organization) that supports the school in many ways. The SPO holds meetings once a month and is always looking to welcome new parents. In addition, we have a very active and dedicated community of volunteers here at JCS.
Throughout the year, there are many formal opportunities for you to visit JCS – such as special programs and parent conferences. I am also encouraging you to contact us when questions and concerns arise. It is important that we work as a team to solve problems and help our students. To accommodate visits by parents, while providing a safe and disruption-free learning environment for the students, we ask that you schedule an appointment ahead of time with a staff member and that you stop at the main office to sign in as soon as you enter the building. All visitors must wear a visitor badge when in the building.
The JCS Student Handbook is posted on the website. Please refer to it during the year, if you have questions about procedures or policies here at JCS.
We look forward to partnering up with you in educating your son or daughter!
