The Athletic Complex has reached one of four final milestones. This week the Multipurpose Field has reached substantial completion. Substantial completion means that we can practice and play on the site. However, this is still a work-site and we are currently only allowing for NHS athletes to use the field.
The Norton HS Track and Field will not be at substantial completion until the end of the month. If we have any practices or games on the field before the track is substantially complete it will NOT be covered by the warranty. I cannot allow for the warranty to become voided. I know it is frustrating, but these are the facts. Once we get substantial completion on the Track and Field then we can utilize it.
The third milestone is the Tennis Courts area. We anticipate that this will not be completed until the spring of 2023 due to painting.
The final milestone is the project close-out which is scheduled for December, not including the Tennis Courts painting. The other remaining items to be completed in December are the scoreboards, which are on backorder.
Please note that these fields are not open to the public at this time as they are still construction sites.Multipurpose Field & Tennis Courts
